Mendeecees Harris Tried to Get His Family on the Same Page Before Prison Sentence

Before facing a prison cell, Mendeecees Harris had a very important meeting with a lot women in his life. During the next episode of Love and Hip Hop New York, the troubled star met with the mothers and grandmothers of all of his children to try to get them all on the same page. If are new to this family order, Harris has two other sons with two other women. Erika is Aasim's mother and Samantha is Lil Mendeecess' mother. Harris also has two children with his wife, Yandy Smith.

“Tonight I’m bringing all of the important women in my life together as a family before I go away,” Harris says in the clip below.

The reason behind the meeting was so that all of his kids could be of one accord while he is behind bars. “I don’t want a day to go by without my children knowing that I love them and I appreciate them. I need all of these ladies to get on the same page fast.”

Starting the conversation off, Harris thanked each and every one of the women in his life for coming to one of the most important meetings he would have.

Not focusing on his prison sentence term, Harris was more concerned about his release date. He wanted all of the women to make sure that his kids knew he’d be returning home one day.

Harris’ wife chimed in and told her husband that he looked very worried about the entire situation. Not beating around the bush, Harris admitted that he was because it was a huge thing especially since he has young kids.

If you haven't been keeping up, Harris was sentenced to eight years behind bars after being found guilty of drug trafficking charges.

All of his kids are under the age of ten years old so daddy going to prison for years isn't something that they can easily understand. His youngest is Skylar Smith Harris, who just turned a year old last month.

Lifting a lot of weight off of his shoulders, the mothers of his kids, along with their grandmothers promised Harris that they’d make sure his presence would be known in their lives while he’s in prison.

“They love you to pieces,” Harris’ mother, Judy reassured her son. “We’re here to keep that moving.”

Harris shared that he was sad because he never expected to not be living with his family. “The most important thing for me is to make sure that I have access to all of my children. So by making these women get along together it’s the only way that’s going to happen.”

What was about to be a tearful reunion ended up turning into drama. Samantha's mother, Kim, tried to keep her cool with Judy, but that didn't happen. Now we see why Harris was a bit stressed out about his sentencing.

Hopefully, the kids are getting to still see their father while he’s locked up. Harris’ sentence started back in January.
