Recently, rumors of the British group, Little Mix, splitting up spread like wildfire over the weekend. Fans were worried that there could be some feud between two of the group's members, Perrie Edwards and Jesy Nelson, that could potentially break the girl group.
The Little Mix split rumors all started with a simple photo. Perrie Edwards posted a photo on social media, a photo that was taken at the recent Nickelodeon Awards. While celebrities are expected to regular post updates for all their adoring fans to enjoy, Edwards' post is a bit unusual as the photo contains only three members. Leigh-Anne Pinnock, Jade Thirlwall and Perrie were in the photo but Jesy Nelson was not included.
Sharp-eyed Little Mix fans immediately suspected that something could be amiss. It was evident in the photo that Jesy Nelson was intentionally cropped out of Perrie Edwards' post.
Ultimately, it led to speculations that Little Mix could be splitting up. However, Perrie Edwards, whose post unintentionally started the rumors, already came forth to clear things up.
"Jesy is cropped out the picture because she doesn't like any of the photos!," Edwards explained as quoted by Mirror. Apparently, Nelson did not like the particular picture that Perrie posted and had herself cropped out.
Jesy Nelson likewise explained the matter to worried Little Mix fans. In a Snapchat post, she uploaded a photo where Perrie and herself can be seen lounging in bed. "So we just want to address the situation of the friendship between me and Perrie," Nelson said in the post as quoted by UnrealityTV. The singer added, "Do you think I'd be laying in her bed if I wasn't friends with her?"
It is understandable that fans of the girl group are worried about its future. Groups suddenly disbanding are quite a norm in the industry such as One Direction and Fifth Harmony. For now, however, it looks like Little Mix as a group is still as strong as ever. Stay tuned to MStarsNews for the latest celebrity news
