Soccer idol Cristiano Ronaldo pranked fans in a new video. In the video, the Real Madrid star is made up to look like a homeless man, complete with a fat suit and a dog, and plays soccer tricks for hours in Madrid's Plaza del Callao.
Ronaldo, in his disguise, kicks a soccer ball around the plaza for hours. He does some seriously impressive tricks and attempts to get strangers to play with him. Many of them rebuff his efforts. At one point he even asks a woman for her number and she rejects him.
But a few people do join the masked Ronaldo, playing around with him. Finally, he starts kicking the ball with a younger boy, encouraging him to try and get the ball from Ronaldo's fast feet.
After a short chat with the boy, Ronaldo picks up the ball and signs it, taking off his disguise. The little boy is clearly stunned.
Within moments, Ronaldo is surrounded by a crowd of people running after him, while he had been playing around unencumbered for hours earlier.
The video was made with ROC Live Life Loud, Ronaldo's electronics company. ROC just partnered with Monster Products to create an exclusive range of headphones.
This week, Ronaldo was on CNN Espanol, apparently to promote Live Life Loud. However, the interview went south real quick. The interviewer asked Ronaldo about the FIFA corruption scandal, which Ronaldo did not want to discuss.
"It doesn't worry me at all," Ronaldo said about the corruption. "I do my profession, my job, I give me all for my club...the rest doesn't matter to me. I don't care what happens on the outside."
But the interviewer pressed Ronaldo on the issue. He asked Ronaldo if he and his teammates talked about FIFA. When Ronaldo said no, he asked what they do talk about.
"About music, about women, about fashion, about shoes, about suitcases/bags, about jewelry, about haircuts..." Ronaldo listed, annoyed.
Finally, Ronaldo called the interview "bullsh*t" and stormed out.
"I don't give a f*ck. What you want me to do?" Ronaldo said as he left.
