Now that back to school has officially happened, it's only appropriate that we try and help the procrastinators of the world. Believe it or not, getting things done doesn't become any easier as you get older; therefore, it's best to stop your procrastination habits early on.
How so? Glad you asked...
(Let's pretend you did.)
Below are a few tips to help you rid yourself of those nasty procrastination habits that prevent you from getting things done. Per a report from The Huffington Post, these are "surefire" ways to kick your "I'll do that later" moments.
MAKE A PLAN AND WRITE IT DOWN
HuffPost reports that we're more likely to complete things when we physically write things down. Hence things like our shopping list. Being able to literally cross something off your list helps in giving you a desire to complete something.
Therefore, if you've got a plan to do something, jot it down and create daily goals. Then, once you complete them one by one, cross 'em out!
TIME MANAGEMENT
Adults need to weave time management into their lives. Whether it be because of work, duties, life, etc., it's important to not let yourself get distracted. HuffPost suggests we divvy up our day into four categories: 1) Manage Short-Term Crises & Problems, 2) Focus on Long-Term Strategic Goals, 3) Avoid Distractions & Interruptions, and 4) Limit Time-Wasting Activities.
HAVE A PARTNER
Things are just easier with a partner. If you have someone there to help you in your daily goals then it'll be a lot easier in the long haul. Therefore, try and get a friend who will be by your side through it all. Perhaps even someone who also wants to kick their procrastination habits.
