Amy Schumer just announced her and new boyfriend Ben Hanisch's first red carpet appearance (hello, Golden Globes!), while also debunking the rumors that her and her beau met on the dating app Bumble. Plus, Hanisch's mom is admitting that she had no idea who her son was dating.

The comedienne unveiled her new relationship with the Chicago-based furniture designer earlier this week. Rumors circulated that the pair met on Bumble, a dating app that makes the woman make the first contact.

"#tbt me and my date to the globes #roadmanager," Schumer wrote alongside an old picture of her and her sister on Instagram. She continues, "My bf will be there too and we did NOT meet on bumble. Great site just not how we met."

Schumer also took to Twitter Wednesday to deny the rumors, writing, "Please let the record show I have never in my life been on Bumble."

A source told PEOPLE this week that the star is "so, so happy." "She calls him her boyfriend and says he constantly tells her how pretty, sexy and perfect she is."

Another person of importance is happy about the relationship, Hanisch's mother, Deborah Hanisch, who told TIME, "If they're happy, I'm happy. That's all a parent can ever ask for."

Deborah also admitted that before the relationship, she had no idea who Amy Schumer was, saying, "I had never really heard the name before all this."

Schumer will be in attendance at Sunday's Golden Globes, where she is nominated for best actress in a comedy for her film, Trainwreck. The film itself is nominated for best comedy. Schumer will be up against pal Jennifer Lawrence for her starring role in Joy.

Also in attendance will be Brie Larson, who plays Schumer's sister in Trainwreck. Larson is racking up accolades for her role in Room, which is also nominated at the Globes.
