One Direction Liam Payne, Louis Tomlinson Set To Appear On ‘Family Guy’ Despite Hiatus
Even though One Direction are set to have a year-long hiatus, Liam Payne, Harry Styles, Niall Horan and Louis Tomlinson are giving their fans a treat before totally going under the radar for a long time. The famous British-Irish boy band is coming to Family Guy to show off their comedic skills.
Entertainment Weekly has learned exclusively that 1D will be on an upcoming episode of the Fox adult animated series called "Run, Chris, Run."
According to the site, the episode centers on Chris’ homecoming king dreams, and the band will appear “in a campfire scene with Stewie, who tells them a scary story involving non-skinny jeans.”
Unfortunately, not all four members are going to voice their Family Guy characters, Payne and Tomlinson were the only ones who actually recorded their lines of dialogue.
One Direction's creator Simon Cowell is also reportedly going to be in the scene, but it is unclear if the television talent judge and mentor will be recording his own lines as well. Arguably, no one can do that rude British voice like he can.
“There are not a lot of shows that, in the same season, feature guest-star appearances by both Frank Sinatra, Jr. and One Direction,” Family Guy executive producers Richard Appel and Steve Callaghan said in a statement to EW. “And we really enjoyed their time with us, until we realized we were both old enough to be their fathers.”
The now highly-anticipated episode will premiere sometime in May, probably right around the time all Directioners will be in desperate need of a 1D fix.
