Proof that nothing can get Lil Wayne down. After being hospitalized for seizures and a subsequent media circus that held talks of comas (maybe) and near-death experiences (probably not), the indefatigable Weezy F. Baby has released the first single off of "I Am Not A Human Being II", the subtle 2 Chainz collabo"Rich as F*ck."

The song features a number of great quotables from Wayne, who was in rare form on the track:

  • “Tell the b**ches that be hatin’ I ain’t got no worries/ I just wanna hit-and-run like I aint got insurance”
  • “What’s your name? What’s your sign? Zodiac Killer/ All rats gotta die, even Master Splinter”
  • “I be killin’ these b**ches, I hope all dogs go to heaven”
  • “She got on that **** and stay on all night, like porch lights”
  • “B**ch n****s go behind your back like nunchucks, and that’s f***ed up”
  • Of course this all builds to the uber-simple comparison chorus of “Look at you, now look at us/ All my n****s look rich as f*ck!”

The song contains a particularly telling series of lines where Lil Wayne discusses mixing sizzurp. Wayne is a noted aficionado of the combo of cough medicine and soft drinks, and it’s mostly believed that his love of the concoction is what landed him in Cedars-Sinai hospital in Los Angeles for several days, though Birdman has vehemently denied that on Twitter and in a statement. The Cash Money CEO attributed Wayne’s bout of seizures to “work ethic”, claiming that the singer merely wore himself out.

Lil Wayne was released on Monday as confirmed by Young Money president Mack Maine in a tweet.

“@LilTunechi has been officially been released and is headed home...God is great," Maine said.

I Am Not A Human Being II drops March 26.

What do you think of the new track? How about the root cause of Wayne’s health issues?
