Stephen Colbert Auditions for El Chapo, Sean Penn’s Secret Meeting Topic, a Biopic [WATCH]
Following news that infamous drug lord El Chapo wanted to secretly meet with Sean Penn to discuss a biopic, Late Show host Stephen Colbert thought it best to cash in on what's bound to be an interesting tale. Therefore, he decided to up and audition for the El Chapo biopic, specifically the role of Joaquin "El Chapo" Guzman himself.
The CBS host kicked off his El Chapo segment discussing the nature of the drug kingpin's recent arrest, which occurred this past Friday. Calling him the man "who built the world's most lucrative drug empire after Pfizer," Colbert noted that El Chapo's arrest was shocking on two fields: 1) He had been on the run for the six months and no one knew where he was, and 2) Authorities couldn't find El Chapo, but Sean Penn did.
"For months, the unpredictable El Chapo had been on the run hiding for months," Colbert said, adding, "and to find him, it took yet another unpredictable man who looks like he's been hiding in a jungle: Sean Penn."
The very nature of Penn's interview with El Chapo, Colbert claims, was that of a meeting about a movie. He says, "Guzman agreed to a meeting because he wanted...to make a movie about his lucrative life of drug-dealing..."
And since Danny DeVito (and "a large black caterpillar") is off shooting It's Always Sunny in Philadelphia, Colbert put together an audition tape.

So, folks, who should play El Chapo in the upcoming, and not at all confirmed, biopic?
