Everyone is looking forward to the second season of Daredevil, especially now that former The Walking Dead star Jon Bernthal will be playing Hell's Kitchen's newest vigilante The Punisher. But no one is more excited to see the new incarnation of Frank Castle than Marvel TV executive vice president Jeph Loeb, who also revealed some new details about Elektra Natchios (Elodie Yung) and Matt Murdock (Charlie Cox).

In a recent interview with Comicbook.com, Loeb admitted that he is happy with Bernthal's performance as The Punisher.

"If you love Season 1, you're going to love Season 2," Loeb enthused. "Jon Bernthal has succeeded in his quest [to not screw up the character]. His Punisher is extraordinarily memorable, in every way."

Loeb also offered some insight on what to expect of Matt's ex-girlfriend and fellow vigilante Elektra.

"You will fall in love with Elodie Yung as Elektra, and she will break your heart, because that's what Elektra does to people," he said.

In addition to that, the Marvel TV vice president shared more details on Matt's relationship with Elektra and how he will deal with The Punisher.

"What's fantastic about the story is, is that it's created this enormous division in [Matt Murdock's] life, because the woman that he once loved has returned, and she certainly has some issues with morality, and how you get the job done, and going on the other end of the spectrum is Frank Castle, who believes that justice needs to be served in a particular way," he said. "For Matt, who believes in the law, the question of whether or not he is a vigilante, and whether or not that makes him the same as these people, is something that will drive the story, and will drive Matt."

See more of The Punisher, Elektra and Matt Murdock when Daredevil Season 2 premieres on Netflix on March 18.
