Fall Out Boy New Album 'Save Rock And Roll' To Feature Courtney Love and Elton John, Band Announces Via Twitter
Looks like Fall Out Boy took the name of their new album rather seriously. Their upcoming release Save Rock And Roll will feature a number of the genre's heavyweights in guest appearances including Courtney Love and Elton John.
The story started when bassist Pete Wentz hinted at a possible collaboration on Twitter saying that a "blonde haired singer" would feature in the upcoming album. As frontman Patrick Stump had tweeted a picture of himself and Sir Elton in the studio last week with the hashtag #saverockandroll, many followers guessed Elton John. When Pete let on that it was someone else in addition to Elton, guesses ran rampant. Fans guessed Dee Snider, Taylor Swift and Niall from One Direction, among others.
Eventually the band's twitter confirmed "It's Courtney, bitch" with a video of the former Hole lead singer and famous widow to Kurt Cobain.
Fall Out Boy are no strangers to collaboration. Their lead single off of Save Rock and Roll, "My Songs Know What You Did In The Dark (Light 'Em Up) features a collaboration with hot commodity 2 Chains (aka "The Artist Formerly Known as 'Tity Boi'"). It looks like the tracklist for the April 15 album will be full of "feat."
Are you excited for new Fall Out Boy? Will you be snagging Save Rock and Roll when it drops April 15? Does a Courtney-FOB collabo have you salivating?
