'Glee' Season 4 Recap: Episode 17, Blaine and Sam Share 'Guilty Pleasures', Chris Brown Rejected, New Directions Covers Spice Girls and ABBA [VIDEOS]
In season 4, episode 17 of FOX's hit Thursday night show "Glee," New Directions take on "Guilty Pleasure" songs. Last night's episode covered such hits as "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go," "Creep," and "Wannabe" from the Spice Girls. In this week's episode we get a closer look into Blaine and Sam's guilty pleasures, while the show attempts to tackle a Chris Brown song....maybe.
This week's episode started off with Blaine catching Sam taking extra pasta from the cafeteria. Blaine thinks Sam needs the food, but it turns out Sam just has a guilty pleasure of making macaroni portraits. Among his macaroni portraits are Emma Stone, LeAnn Rimes, and Ralph Macchio. This results in Blaine and Sam leading a performance of Wham's "Wake Me Up Before You Go Go."
Brittany tries to get Kitty to be a little nicer while inviting her on her web-cast "Fondue for Two." Kitty reveals her guilty pleasure is the Spice Girls. The girls then sing the Spice Girls hit "Wannabe."
Sam is up next, coming out as a Barry Manilow fan. Sam sings "Copacabana," which is followed by Blaine serenading Sam with Phil Collins' "Against All Odds."
The Glee cast then covers a more serious issue when Jake wants to sing a Chris Brown song. The girls lose it over his choice, so he instead sings Bobby Brown's "My Prerogative." Not much better.
We find out that Rachel thinks her break up from Brody is only temporary, that is until Santana spills the beans that Brody is a male prostitute. Rachel confronts Brody and he reveals to her that Finn made the trip to New York just to punch him the face. Brody and Rachel break it off for good this time and Rachel sings Radiohead's "Creep" as a farewell to her relationship with Brody.
The episode ends with Rachel and the New Directions singing ABBA's "Mamma Mia."
