Julianne Hough and Ryan Seacreast Break Up: 'American Idol' Host Dumps 'DWTS' Beauty for 'Wild Partying' Ways?

Though their split was initially blamed on hectic schedules, new reports suggest that Ryan Seacrest and Julianne Hough may have split for an entirely different reason. Namely, Hough's hard partying ways.

An insider told The National Enquirer that "Ryan tried his best to keep up with Julianne, but in the end he just couldn't."

Apparently, the 38-year-old Seacrest couldn't keep up with the 24-year-old "Dancing With the Stars" pro. The pair ended their two year relationship earlier this month.

"He's older, already established and set in his ways, and he was getting tired of telling her to lay off the alcohol and stop overindulging. They constantly fought because he wanted her to slow down and she wanted him to lighten up and enjoy life more," the unnamed source said.

The Enquirer claims that Seacrest ""couldn't stand to watch her throw her life away."

Seacrest and Hough have wasted no time getting back into the public eye. Hough spent the weekend at the beach with her girlfriends and has been spotted courtside at a Lakers game with Big Bang Theory's Kaley Cuoco and Vampire Diaries Nina Dobrev.

Seacrest has been seen cavorting around Los Angeles. Most recently, he appeared at Justin Timberlake's The 20/20 Experience release party.

The pair originally blamed the split on hectic work schedules, which they have spoken on in the past.

"It's a hard thing to do, especially when you're so caught up in your work and bettering yourself," Hough recently told PARADE. "I think at the end of the day you have to find a balance with what's really important."

However, until reports of their break-up, it did seem that they found time for each other. Hough spoke on this in February's Cosmopolitan.

"When we're alone, we really focus in on going to dinners and being extra-romantic and affectionate and just being there for each other."
