Steve Harvey Breaks Down Over Criticism From Miss Universe Controversy
A new year usually means a new beginning for most people. But for comedian/talk show host Steve Harvey; his past is still haunting him. Although the infamous Miss Universe crowning happened last month that is all everyone can still talk about. With all the controversy and non-stop attention on the comedian, he has decided to break his silence, using his talk show to put an end to the controversy and explain his thoughts and feelings about the unfortunate situation.
In a segment on his show airing on Monday January 18th, the comedian decided to discuss the emotional toll the controversy has placed upon him and his family.
"This has caused a lot of sleepless nights for me," the 58-year-old talk show host revealed.
Many people have been debating that the comedian took his infamous mistake as a joke by posting a meme on Christmas Day with the caption "Merry Easter y'all" while holding up the peace sign and smoking a cigar.
The comedian touched on the fact that his mind remained on Miss Philippines and Miss Colombia. He went into how much his wife Marjorie, was his rock that stuck by his side and encouraged him before breaking down.
" I didn't do any interviews until I could talk to the two people who were affected the most, Pia and Ariadna," the comedian said on his show.
Both Miss Colombia, Ariadna Gutierrez, and Miss Universe, Pia Wurtzbach, will appear on The Steve Harvey Show on Monday and Tuesday for a special pre-taped two-part series.
