Bruce Springsteen Invites Young Fan On Stage during Wrecking Ball Tour, Knee Slides [VIDEO]: 11-Year-Old Dressed Like 'The Boss' Belts 'Waiting on a Sunny Day'
During his second concert in Brisbane, Australia, his "Wrecking Ball" tour this weekend, Bruce Springsteen spotted a young fan in the crowd completely decked out in his classic Born in the U.S.A album cover look. Yes, he even had the red baseball cap in the back pocket of his jeans. Clearly impressed by the 11-year-old, The Boss pulled the boy on stage where the youngster confidently belted out a few lyrics for Springsteen's 2003 hit "Waitin' On a Sunny Day." The crowd loved it and so did the 63-year-old music legend. He even invited this young man to do a stage slide with him. After all of that, the two strolled around the stage for some photos.
Luckily this was all caught on tape and uploaded to YouTube. Check out a video of the incredible moment right here:
It looks like there might just be a trend starting.
This story comes just one week after Billy Joel performed "New York State of Mind" with fan and musician Michael Pollack at Vanderbilt University. Here is a brief summary of that incident from a previous Mstarz article:
Billy Joel recently visited Vanderbilt University for a seminar and while taking questions from the audience, one brave soul, Michael Pollack, seized the moment and asked the piano player if he would allow for a budding musician to accompany on "New York State of Mind." The audience laughed at the question but was soon astonished at Joel's simple response: "Okay." Laughter turning to ovation, Pollack ran up to the stage to make one of his biggest dreams come true. Luckily, the whole exchange was caught on tape, including the amazing performance from both parties. Joel seemed to be having a good time as he sported sunglasses for laughs and crooned "like Sinatra" while Pollack showed his idol his talent.
