'Black Sails' Season 3: Toby Stephens, Ray Stevenson's Graphic Illustration Before Premiere!
From executive producer, alongside Michael Bay (Transformers), Brad Fuller and Andrew Form (Friday the 13th), Season 3 of Black Sails returns for more sword and pirate adventure. Before the premiere, Captain Flint (Toby Stephens) and Blackbeard (Ray Stevenson) get their graphic illustration.
According to the plot synopsis, the third season of Black Sails takes place following the destruction of Charles Town. As the world lives in fear of Captain Flint (Stephens), his campaign of terror crosses over into madness. John Silver (Luke Arnold) has to locate the man within the monster before Flint's all-out war against the world consumes them all. All will be tested when a new opponent arrives to claim Nassau, one the pirates could never have anticipated.
According to Comic Book Resources, Fiona Staples, the artist behind the Eisner Award-winning hit, Saga, has translated her drawings into the TV medium. The Superman/Batman artist has provided promotional illustrations for the new season of Starz's pirate drama. Now, Staples presents the seventh and final graphic novel illustration before the premiere date.
In an interview with Den of Geek, Toby Stephens dishes on Flint's upcoming confrontation with Blackbeard (Stevenson), "It's interesting because it's like you know it's not going to go well. Their egos are too big to actually manage to. It's good though because you want to know how it's going to fall out and who is going to win out. It doesn't go too well but it's not like explosives. It's much more slow burn, their kind of meeting. What ends up happening is very good."
Season 3 of Black Sails season three premieres January 23 on Starz.
