Joey Feek's Husband Rory Prepares Family for Life After His Wife is Gone
Singer Joey Feek is one brave woman if you ask her husband, Rory. MStars News has learned that Joey's husband is listening to all of his wife's wishes and is preparing his family for life after his she is gone.
According to People, Joey has been giving her husband requests on things she wants the family to remember after she passes away. "As Joey has had to learn to come to terms with what is happening to her body and what the future holds, it's been important to her to share some things that she wants me and our girls to remember after she's gone," Rory claimed.
Being the supportive husband that he is, Rory described his day with his wife. He told the magazine that he has been by her bedside taking notes on things like "when the best time to plant the garden will be this spring, how to prune the fruit trees and to make sure we still set aside a percentage of what we make as a tithe each month."
How sweet is that?
MStars News has been keeping up with Joey's battle with terminal cancer as she spends her final days with the ones she loves. The country singer has been receiving hospice treatments at home in Alexandria, Indiana. Despite her pain, Joey has managed to keep a smile on her face and build wonderful members with her two stepdaughters, her husband and their toddler, Indiana.
The magazine claimed that Joey wishes to be buried on the family's property. The singer was previously diagnosed with cervical cancer back in 2014. After harsh treatments, and a radical hysterectomy, Joey's tumors grew back. Now the singer just wants to die peacefully.
But until that day comes, the Feek's and the rest of Joey's extended family members are enjoying each minute together while they still can.
"We are surrounded by Joey's family here in Indiana and life is a revolving door of sisters, parents and nieces and nephews – all pouring love and time into Joey and our little family," Rory revealed. "Though the situation and conditions that brought us here are very difficult, it has been a really beautiful time for Joey and all of us. Not hardly an hour of the day goes by without someone telling someone else that they love them. It's hard to ask for more than that."
Our thoughts and prayers are with the family during this difficult time.
