'Daredevil' Star Charlie Cox Wants Matt Murdock To Join 'Avengers: Infinity War'

It isn't uncommon for characters from Marvel films to cross over into TV. After all, Clark Gregg's Agent Coulson has gone on to star in his own series Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D. and Dominic Cooper's Howard Stark is currently helping Hayley Atwell in Agent Carter. So would it be possible to see someone from TV, say, like Matt Murdock from Daredevil, to appear in a major Marvel movie like Avengers: Infinity War?

The idea was brought up by Entertainment Tonight to Charlie Cox, who plays the Man with No Fear in the Netflix show. Not surprisingly, the actor liked the idea of Daredevil being a part of Infinity War, but is unsure if he will get to play the vigilante in the movie.

"Marvel TV and Marvel Studios are two very different things, so even if the character were to appear in that film, that doesn't necessarily mean that I would appear in that film," Cox explained.

That doesn't mean the Daredevil star will be giving up his character all too easily.

"I will pick a fight with the guy that they choose!" Cox joked.

It certainly sounds like Cox wants to play Matt in Infinity War if the character ends up joining the Avengers, if given the opportunity. Although Daredevil would definitely be a welcome addition to the film, it is still unknown whether he will make an appearance as one of the dozens of heroes who will go up against Thanos.

"That would be a dream, but that's not something that has been discussed," Cox said.

Cox will return as the Devil of Hell's Kitchen in Daredevil Season 2, which will premiere on Netflix on March 18. Avengers: Infinity War - Part 1 is scheduled for release on May 4, 2018 while the second part will hit theaters on May 3, 2019.
