Celine Dion's Son, Rene-Charles Vows to Share "Memories" of Late Father With His Brothers
Celine Dion is putting on a brave face as she endures one of the hardest times in her life, saying goodbye to her husband, Rene Angelil. Friday, the Dion and Angelil family shed tears and remembered the music manager at his funeral in Montreal and that's where Dion's eldest son, Rene-Charles, gave a beautiful eulogy to family and friends in attendance vowing to share memories of his late father with his younger twin brothers.
According to People, Rene-Charles stood brave at the podium of his father's funeral service and said: "Fifteen years is not a long time for a son to get to know his father. You had a busy life, but we were communicating through golf, hockey, poker and smoked meat ... and a lot of other wonderful food, bonding more and more as time went by."
The magazine claimed that there were many tears flowing at the Notre-Dame Basilica church as Rene-Charles continued, "You left me now with enough good memories of you to share with my younger brothers," the soon-to-be 15-year-old promised.
Charles' twins brothers, Nelson and Eddy, are only 5-years-old. "As they grow older, without you being around, I'll make sure to pass on what I've learned from you. You are a tough act to follow, but with your help, everything's gonna be fine. Dad, I promise you here that we're all going to live up to your standards," the young man said.
Angelil also had three other children from previous marriages. His grown children include, Patrick, Jean-Pierre and Anne-Marie. Patrick gave a speech in French before his younger brother, Rene-Charles spoke to the full congregation.
