Jay-Z, Paul Anka Beef Brewing? 'Diana' Singer Rips Jigga for Disrespect, Has Nothing But Love For Beyonce [VIDEO]

Brace yourselves; we might be in for the strangest beef in the history of rap. Paul Anka (aka your granddad's favorite Canadian-American singer-songwriter) recently ripped Jay-Z over what he perceived as disrespect from Mr. Carter (though he maintains that Beyonce is the best…because, duh).

“I called up Jay-Z because he did a track of ‘My Way’ where I loaned him the track," Anka explained to TMZ, regarding his plans for an upcoming album entitled “Duets”.

"I wanted to put him in on a rap with Michael Jackson in the middle. I called him up, but Jay-Z has totally blown me off. He won't answer my calls, he's inappropriate in his behavior. I love his wife, I think she's great, but Jay-Z wouldn't return the call."

Anka is most famous for a string of hits in the 50’s and 60’s including the aforementioned “My Way”, “Diana”, “Lonely Boy” and “Lay Your Head on My Shoulder.” He says that the ‘Duets’ album will feature appearances from the late superstar Michael Jackson and Dolly Parton.

Though (if recent photos are any indication) Jay-Z is hard at work on a new album, Anka has his own theory as to why the Jigga man was too busy to return his calls.

“He's too busy with his clothing line, who knows?" Anka postulated to TMZ.

You can’t blame Jay-Z for being uncouth or worrying about his own interests over Anka. After all, he’s not a businessman, he’s a business, man.

Jay-Z has yet to comment on the accusations.

What do you think? Does Jay-Z owe Paul Anka an apology? Should we expect a Paul Anka slam on Jigga’s next album?
