John Krasinski Shuts Down Former 'The Office' Co-Star Jenna Fischer's 'Love' Comments

Fans of the The Office rooted for Jenna Fischer's character (Pam Beesly) to have a real-life romance with John Krasinski's Jim Halpert. Fischer appeared on Bravo's Watch What Happens Live on Jan. 20, claiming that she and Krasinski were "genuinely in love." Krasinski, who is expecting his second child with wife Emily Blunt, told The Daily Beast he feels bad for his former co-star and believes she must have been misquoted.

Fischer made an appearance on Watch What Happens Live last week, talking to host Andy Cohen. A caller phoned to ask if Fischer and Krasinski ever hooked up in real life.

Fischer answered, "John and I have real chemistry. There's like a real part of me that is Pam and a real part of him that's Jim. And those parts of us were genuinely in love with one another."

She adds, "But in real life, we aren't totally Pam and totally Jim, so in real life, we're not the perfect match. So it's a really complicated thing but, I mean, he was like a type of spouse that I had for a long time. He was my partner. We will always be close because of it."

During the aftershow, Fischer also gave her opinion on Krasinski's hot muscular body. His former co-star stated she has seen him in person and that he looks really good.

It doesn't appear Fischer's feelings were reciprocated by her former The Office co-star.

Krasinski told The Daily Beast of Fischer's comments, "I think that was wildly misquoted or taken out of context. I’m sure she was trying to say something nice about how genuine the acting relationship was, of bringing a relationship that became that popular onscreen—and I think we both feel it’s such an honor to be a part of that relationship.

"As far as how she was quoted about saying we were ‘genuinely in love,’ I think that was taken wildly out of context and I feel bad for her."

Fischer married writer Lee Kirk in July 2010 and the couple have two children.

Krasinski also married in 2010, tying the knot with British actress Emily Blunt. The couple have a 1-year-old daughter named Hazel and announced on Tuesday they are expecting their second child.
