'The Blind Side' Michael Oher Trip To Super Bowl 50 2016, Despite Disappointing Last Few Years

Michael Oher, the NFL player made famous from the rags-to-riches tale about his life as shown in the film The Blind Side, is getting another chance at a Super Bowl ring following a rough couple of years. His team, the Carolina Panthers, beat out the Arizona Cardinals last week to earn the spot in Super Bowl 50. It will be Oher's second trip to football's biggest event - his previous team, the Ravens, won the event in 2013.

The almost happy ending comes after a tough few years for the left tackle. Despite winning the Super Bowl with the Ravens, his career there ultimately fizzled out. He went on to sign a deal in 2014 with the Tennessee Titans who ended up cutting Oher a year later. He then signed on to his current team, the Panthers, for a two-year deal for $7 million.

The deal ultimately paid off, as Oher started in all games this season.

And what of his Blind Side family, Leigh Anne and Sean Tuohy, portrayed by Sandra Bullock and Tim McGraw in the film? It seems the family is still close.

Immediately following the Panther's win on Sunday, Oher posted a picture with the Tuohy's to his Facebook page. Leigh Anne also posted the picture to her Facebook, captioning the event, "GREAT job babe!! You are my MVP, All-Star, rock star and I'm so so so proud of you!!! Keep grinding! One more game!"

Things look like they're working out for Oher, but he does admit to tough few years. Why does he think he got cut? . Turns out, Oher isn't a big fan of The Blind Side.

He told ESPN in June, "They don't really see the skills and the kind of player I am...This stuff, calling me a bust, people saying if I can play or not ... that has nothing to do with football. It's something else off the field. That's why I don't like that movie."

The Blind Side ultimately won an Oscar for Sandra Bullock for Best Actress.
