Chris Brown and Rihanna may have a song together on Chris Brown's upcoming album 'X'. The song , called "Put It Up", features RiRi and is in the mix of tracks that may make the new album.

"I wrote a song for her called 'Put It Up' that we did together," Chris told Rolling Stone. "It's still in the pot of songs we have to pick from. It may or may not make it, but you know, because she's already on it, it's a strong possibility."

The singer has been gearing up for this album release and spreading buzz via early listens. So far he's let Rolling Stone, Billboard and MTV News in on the album. He claims that the first single off of 'X', "Fine China", will drop April 1.

Chris Brown has set some lofty goals for the album. At a Burbank listening event, he let attendees know exactly how he felt about the upcoming project.

"I wanted to touch musically on Michael Jackson, Stevie Wonder and Sam Cooke and incorporate those influences with the new," he said.

Brown has previewed the title track (a Diplo-produced banger that Brown summarized with the statement "the bass will beat through your chest."), a ballad called "Lady in the Glass Dress", the Kendrick Lamar collabo "Autumn Leaves" and the upbeat "Add Me In."

Brown has discussed how this album is meant to dispel his demons and win back fans after his notorious assault on girlfriend Rihanna in 2009. He recently sat down with the "On Air with Ryan Seacrest" crew and spilled on the subject.

"It's all about my responsibility and me growing up as a man. So I think now that I'm becoming older, and trying to mature in this life under the public eye at all times, I have to focus on doing the right thing and being more of a humble individual," Brown said.

Though he isn't going to blame anyone else for that fateful night, he is quick to take blame upon himself.

"I could put that on my age but that would just be making an excuse, said Brown. "I think for me that at age 18, 19 I was capable of writing and producing songs, so I'm also capable of making the right choices. So I think it's about a learning process now. Being at that young age I can tell you I was arrogant and definitely hotheaded. Everybody has a temper, but for me it was not knowing how to control it when I thought I had the world in my hands."

Brown also said in the interview that he was "eternally grateful" that Rihanna accepted him back into her life.
