Sanjay Dutt to Make Movie on Inmates Life in Prison After His Release Next Month
Bollywood star, Sanjay Dutt, who is commonly known as Sanju Baba among his friends and fans, is being released next month and if sources are to be believed then just after his release, Dutt will start working on different projects. Not only this, but Dutt is also planning to make a feature film on inmates' life in prison.
The 53-year-old Dutt, has been convicted in the 1993 Mumbai Blasts case for illegal possession of weapons, and is currently serving the rest of his sentence in Yerwarda Central Prison, reported NDTV. According to a recent updates, the Munnabhai MBBS star, Dutt is going to get an official release on Feb. 22, 2016. A source close to Dutt was quoted by Indian Express as responding:
"Contrary to media reports... stating various dates of his release, it is confirmed that the actor will be released in the early hours of February 25."
While serving his sentence in prison, Dutt befriended a lot of his cell mates and in their free time, they all shared their stories to each other. One of his cell mate, who is serving his time because of a family dispute had a great impact on Dutt and he wants to tell his story on 70mm.
"Sanjay is friends with most of his cell mates and when he heard the story of this particular inmate, it touched him to the core and he immediately decided to make a film on it. The concerned inmate is behind the bars following a family dispute and a significant part of the film will be of him inside prison."
Indian Express also stated that Dutt is not only going to co-write the story but he will be creatively involved in the scripting and the production of the untitled project.
After being released, Dutt is likely to start working with Rajkumar Hirani to shoot the third installment of his superhit franchise, Munnabhai, in which the 56-year-old actor plays the titular role along with Arshad Warsi.
