'The Walking Dead' Season 6 SPOILERS: Will Norman Reedus' Daryl Dixon Return To Alexandria?
The first half of The Walking Dead Season 6 has undoubtedly been disappointing for Daryl Dixon fans, as the character only had a few appearances in the AMC show. However, Norman Reedus has just hinted that his character will be going back into action and return to Alexandria!
"Yeah, we'll definitely have a steadier dose [of Daryl]," Reedus confirmed to Entertainment Weekly. "I look at what they're doing, and I look at the storylines, and they all completely make sense to me."
Reedus also addressed the character's sudden departure from Alexandria, which led to Daryl having less appearances in the first half of Season 6. The Air actor admitted that he missed his constant interactions with his costars.
"It feels like the band split up a little bit. It's strange," Reedus said. "I love working with those guys, but I had a lot of time off the first half, and what I did do was spread out. My storyline sort of took me away from Alexandria while Alexandria was being attacked, so it makes sense."
But now that Daryl has been reunited with Abraham (Michael Cudlitz) and Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green), Reedus can confidently say that there is more to see when The Walking Dead returns to AMC.
"I'm definitely excited for people to see the second half," he said. "I definitely have more to do."
So what exactly will Daryl be doing in the second half of TWD Season 6? It may have a lot to do with Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan), the comic book villain who will finally debut on the show. In a separate interview, Reedus confirmed that Rick's group will fight back against Negan and the Saviors.
"There's going to be a fight. I won't tell you who, when, and where, but I can promise you a fight," he said. "All of us are about to clash with that mother-ker. There's a lot of turmoil in the second half of Season 6."
The Walking Dead Season 6 will return to AMC on February 14.
