'The Flash' Season 2 SPOILERS: Will Keiynan Lonsdale's Wally West Finally Become Kid Flash?

The second season of The Flash has already introduced Jay Garrick (Teddy Sears), opening the possibility of having more than just Grant Gustin's Barry Allen as the sole Speedster in the series. Now that Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale) has joined the show, could he turn into Kid Flash and become a member of the STAR Labs team in Season 2?

The Flash executive producer Andrew Kreisberg recently spoke to Entertainment Weekly, where he confirmed that Lonsdale's Wally will eventually turn into Kid Flash.

"I guess that could happen down the road," he revealed.

But before you start expecting to see Lonsdale put on the Kid Flash suit any time soon, Kreisberg added that it will not happen in Season 2.

"I wouldn't want to say no, but so much of that stuff is a little bit further into the future than we've planned for right now," he said.

In the comic books, Wally was initially introduced as Kid Flash, the younger counterpart of The Flash, similar to Roy Harper. Lonsdale's story arc will most possibly be similar to Colton Haynes' Arsenal, who started out as a petty criminal before setting out to join Oliver Queen (Stephen Amell) in Arrow.

24-year-old Lonsdale is best known for playing Ollie in the Australian TV series Dance Academy. He has also appeared in films like Insurgent and The Finest Hours. Lonsdale had originally auditioned for the part of Jax Jackson, the new half of Firestorm, but the role eventually went to Attack the Block actor Franz Drameh.

So what happens next in The Flash Season 2? In Welcome to Earth-2, Barry, Cisco Ramon (Carlos Valdes) and Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh) travel to the parallel universe to save Wells' daughter Jesse. During their trip, they encounter Earth-2 Caitlin Snow (Danielle Panabaker) and Ronnie Raymond (Rob Amell), who turn out to be Killer Frost and Deathstorm.

Welcome to Earth-2, the 13th episode of The Flash Season 2, will air on The CW on February 9.
