Kate Middleton Baby Bump, Due Date: Royal Baby Shower NOT HAPPENING According to Experts, Sex and Names News?
Despite hopes and claims of a lavish baby shower for the pregnant Duchess of Cambridge, royal experts are saying that such an event would be in poor taste and untraditional. Normally, the monarchy does not partake in such events, but Kate and her party-planning sister, Pippa, were keen to the idea of breaking tradition for her hugely publicized pregnancy. Kate was even hoping the Queen would be in attendance, but it looks like the party is cancelled as the Duchess moves into the 6th month of her pregnancy and her July due date moves closer. Plus, Kate reveals some name ideas!
A Palace source claims that the Duke and Duchess are not boxed in when it comes to ideas. Kate has said that she might want to stay traditional. For a girl, Diana and Elizabeth are rumored and for a boy, George is favored by sources.
According to ABC News Royal Expert, Victoria Arbiter, the baby shower will not be happening because of "added pressure that [she and Prince William] are clearly very wealthy, and a lavish baby shower would be seen as highly inappropriate. There's nothing they can't go out and buy themselves."
Arbiter admits that there is a chance that a small baby shower could occur, but the Queen is likely not to attend. Also, the cancellation of the baby shower is really just an educated guess, which should maybe serve as advice for the royals to take into consideration.
Mstarz recently reported on the royal baby shower. Here is an excerpt:
"While it's all going to be very relaxed and fun, Kate is hoping the queen will drop by because the two are remarkably close." The friend said. "They bonded big time and really enjoy each other's company. Since this is going to be a first for royals, Kate would love the queen to be part of it."
And with Pippa at the healm it is usre to be a great party considering her background in party planning. The source adds: "Pippa is in charge of decorations. Wine and beer will be available - not that Kate will be drinking alcohol, of course. There will certainly be none of the hard stuff."
