'The Amazing Race' 2013: Season 22, Episode 7 Recap, Caroline and Jennifer Get Pulled Over, Anthony and Bates Swim With Crocodiles, Another Team is Eliminated
On CBS's "The Amazing Race" last night, another pair of competitors were eliminated, leaving fans with six teams to root for. The hockey players Bates and Anthony went into Sunday night's episode as the leaders, while the newlyweds Max and Katie trailed. In season 22, episode 7 the teams swim with crocodiles, get pulled over by police for speeding, and try to wrangle some Donkeys. Now that the show is past the Hanoi, Vietnam B-52 controversy, what will happen next?
Bates and Anthony started off the episode in first place and cruised to a first place finish by the end of the show. In the process, they seemed to have a pretty good time water skiing with crocodiles. This leg of the race wasn't so much fun for the other competitors. The blond country music singers Caroline and Jen were caught speeding by police. Somehow, despite being brought into the police station, they still managed to finish in third place just behind the roller derby moms Beth and Mona.
The newlyweds Max and Katie faced a speed bump that required them to dance in beaded skirts with the locals. This is the first time Max and Katie actually look enjoyable to be around. The married couple squeaked by again coming in sixth place and staging off elminination for another week. Coming in just ahead of Max and Katie are maybe the next least liked pairing. YouTube stars Joey and Meghan also had a tough run trying to paddle upstream and seem to get lost for a majority of the episode. Maybe it's because everyone else had such a tough time, but they managed to secure fifth place.
The married couple from down south, Chuck and Wynona, showed some big improvement in this episode. They may not have the best physical skills or have the highest intelligence, but they work well together and are a good team. They moved up in the race and came in fourth place, ahead of the YouTube stars and newlyweds.
Unfortunately, best friends Pam and Winnie finished in last place. Their elimination was a bit of a surprise because the last few weeks they had been doing so well. However, I have to give them credit, they didn't complain or cry and they went out with dignity. They were also the most entertaining of all the teams, so they will be missed. There you have it, that was Sunday night's "The Amazing Race." Below are the results from week seven.
First Place : Bates and Anthony
Second Place: Beth and Mona
Third Place : Caroline and Jen
Fourth Place: Chuck and Wynona
Fifth Place: Joey and Meghan
