‘Ip Man’ Donnie Yen Cast In ‘XXX 3: The Return Of Xander Cage’ As Jet Li's Replacement?
As we have previously reported Fast and Furious actor Vin Diesel's XXX 3: The Return Of Xander Cage movie was filming in Toronto, adding actors and actresses to its cast. They have also released its official synopsis. However, there was a change on the first reported cast as Ip Man's Donnie Yen replaces Jet Li according to TwitchFilm. No reasons were mentioned as to why the actor had left or if he was just replaced.
Apparently, Yen will play asthe villain Xiang, in this movie with D.J Caruso as the director.

Diesel said, "Donnie is one of the greatest martial-arts movie stars of our time. I am thrilled he will be joining the cast and can't wait to work with him on some of the spectacular action sequences we have planned."
Yen is best known for his amazing Ip Man movies. He had also appeared alongside Jet Li in Hero and also with Jackie Chan in Blade of Kings. Right now, there are no further changes to the cast of XXX 3: The Return of Xander Cage. Samuel L. Jackson, Tony Jaa, Bollywood star Deepika Padukone, Ruby Rose, Nina Dobrev, UFC champion Conor McGregor are still part of the movie. While Ice Cube is rumored to be joining the cast as well.
Noticeably, the cast is diverse and global as some actors come from overseas. Yen is a Hong Kong based actor while Padukone is an Indian actress. Hopefully, XXX 3's cast will stay intact as fans cannot wait to see the movie.
