Earth, Wind & Fire Perform for First Time Since Maurice White's Death

Earth, Wind & Fire were back in action for the first time since founder Maurice White died earlier this month.The legendary group took the stage at Clive Davis' Pre-Grammy Party over the weekend in Los Angeles.

The annual event was held Sunday at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, with celebrities like Chrissy Teigen and her husband, John Legend, along with Ciara and her beau, Russell Wilson, in attendance. In the clip below, Ci-Ci and Wilson danced and to Earth, Wind & Fire as they ripped the stage in front of a full house.

Members of the group honored White.  Philip Bailey said: "Right now we'd like to pay tribute to the visionary who we lost last week, the man with whom none of this would be possible, Mr. Maurice White."

MStars News previously reported that White died at his home in Los Angeles on Feb. 3 at the age of 74. The singer had Parkinson's disease for many years. White's brother and bandmate, Verdine White, said his brother "passed away peacefully last night in his sleep."

His full statement read: "My brother, hero and best friend Maurice White passed away peacefully last night in his sleep. While the world has lost another great musician and legend, our family asks that our privacy is respected as we start what will be a very difficult and life changing transition in our lives. Thank you for your prayers and well wishes."

The band's hits includes "September," ''Shining Star" and "Boogie Wonderland."
