Two Bollywood giants, Shah Rukh Khan and Salman Khan, are coming up with two most anticipated movies in 2016. Shah Rukh will be seen as a gangster in Raees and Salman will be seen playing the role of a wrestler in Sultan. It was earlier reported that these two feature films will not clash at the box-office but now there are new reports that suggests the box-office clash is inevitable.

It was earlier reported by MStars News that Shah Rukh's Raees will be delayed and will not be released opposite Salman's Sultan. Shah Rukh's Raees is being produced by Farhan Akhtar and Ritesh Sidhwani's Excel Entertainment. When it was asked to Farhan about the clash with Sultan, the actor-director was quoted by India West as responding:

"That we will see... Let the date come around. We are releasing our film on Eid; will they also release at the same time, that Salman Khan will decide."

Eid 2016 will be out the same time when Yash Raj Films will be releasing Salman's Sultan. However, according to Bollywood Life, Shah Rukh has said that the release date of Raees could be rescheduled since he does not want to jeopardize the business of Raees and Sultan. Shah Rukh also said that he has friends in Sultan and he would do anything to avoid the box office clash.

"I guess we (Raees) could shift. But I don't know the readiness of Sultan. Raees will be ready in January, in like 20 days. Plus, they all are friends - Adi (Aditya Chopra), Salman (Khan), Ali (Abbas Zafar), I know them all. So, if mutually we all can figure out a date where one of us goes a week up or down, we might! Or we might not!" Shah Rukh said

But now it looks like these two films are indeed going to clash at the box-office.

Refuting the rumors that have been swirling around Sultan and Raees, Ritesh said that they are scheduled to release the film as they have planned. The producer was quoted by Indian Express as responding:

"Everyone talks about their deadlines, but there are five months left for Eid. So, you don't know what will happen. As of now, we're scheduled to release our film on that day."

Ritesh also used the social media platform to convey the news to Shah Rukh's fans, asking them not to believe in the rumors.

Well, this won't be the first time when Shah Rukh and Salman will fight with each other over the box-office. In 2006, Shah Rukh's Don and Salman's Jaaneman clashed with each other over the box-office and Don had the upper hand after the release. Now, as these two superstars are again friends, it will be interesting to see the clash that will hit the theaters around the festive season.
