James Corden Asks Katie Holmes Who Was a Better Kisser on 'Creek,' Dawson or Pacey?

Recently, Katie Holmes talked of her past TV kisses to James Corden, and the host asked who was a better kisser on Dawson's Creek, James Van Der Beek's Dawson Leery or Joshua Jackson's Pacey Witter, making things awkward!

Long before the actress became Tom Cruise's wife and later ex, audiences fell in love with her in the '90s classic, where she played Joey Potter.

According to ET Online, Holmes was one of the guest stars on last Wednesday's episode of Corden's Late Late Show, and it was time for her to answer to a very '90s question: which of her Dawson's co-stars was a better kisser.

The actress was visibly uncomfortable with the line of questioning, trying to laugh the awkwardness away while the other two guests, filmmaker Judd Apatow and actor Ryan Reynolds, looked at her in amusement. Corden chipped in with his own theory, saying he thought Van Der Beek was the better kisser because he would "get straight up in his grill," as Entertainment Weekly reports.

True to his Deadpool character, Reynolds stepped in with some extra information of his own.

"I went to high school with Josh, and I can tell you right now, he's a terrific kisser," said Blake Lively's husband. Indeed, he and Jackson did go to the same high school in their native Vancouver, the Kitsilano Secondary School.

Holmes, still looking adorably awkward, simply responded with a "well, if he says so," which prompted host Corden to settle the matter once and for all, taking this as a sign that Pacey was in fact better than Dawson.

These days, Holmes is starring in the drama Touched with Fire, a film where she plays a person with bipolar disorder who falls in love with another patient, played by Luke Kirby, in a psychiatric hospital. Jackson, on his part, has enjoyed a great career in television since Dawson ended, most recently appearing on drama The Affair.
