DJ CLUE ARRESTED, Busted with Suspended License, Pills: Radio DJ, Hip-Hop Hit Maker Caught Riding Dirty, Fans Respond on Twitter

Famed New York radio personality, DJ, and hip-hop hit maker DJ Clue, born Enersto Shaw, was arrested in New York City drug- and traffic-related charges after police stopped him at a checkpoint in lower Manhattan Wednesday morning, according to NBC.

DJ Clue, 38, was driving a black Range Rover, when he was stopped at a checkpoint on Varrick Streeat, near HOT 97 headquarters.

Police checked he drivers license, but according to NBC, police discovered that Clue was riding around with a suspended license. The suspended license prompted a search of the vehicle and police found three un-marked pills wrapped in foil.

He was taken into custody and charged with iminal possession of a controlled substance and aggravated unlicensed operator. He's expected to be arraigned in Manhattan court later Wednesday, according to NBC.

DJ Clue is known for making club bangers with rappers like Fabolous, Jay-Z, The Notorius B.I.G., and more. He garnered notoriety in the early 90's and is currently one of the top DJ's on the scene.
