'Captain America Civil War' Spoilers: Mark Ruffalo's Hulk COULD Return Before 'Thor: Ragnarok'

Captain America: Civil War is certainly one of the most awaited films of 2016, and now it's only a few months away from its release. The big Marvel Cinematic Universe event, billed as the closest thing to another Avengers movie, supposedly doesn't include fan favorite, Hulk, played by Mark Ruffalo, but new spoilers reveal Bruce Banner might pop in before Thor: Ragnarok!

Anthony Mackie, who so far has played Falcon in three MCU films (Captain America: The Winter Soldier, Avengers: Age of Ultron and Ant-Man), will be reprising his role in this year's Civil War event, and he's getting more talkative than Marvel actors usually do. In a recent interview with BBC's Radio 1, the actor suggested that, despite all claims, Ruffalo might join this year's superhero-packed movie.

"Because it's more of an acting movie than an action movie, I feel like the story is very concise and interesting, and you get to see Robert Downey Jr. and Chris Evans and Scarlett Johansson and Mark Ruffalo and everybody just do really, really good acting. And then there's action in it," Mackie revealed, shocking everybody in the process.

As The Mary Sue reports, last year, Ruffalo popped in to have a few drinks with his superhero pals in a Berlin club around the time the cast of Civil War was shooting in Germany, prompting fans to get excited over Ruffalo's appearance in the movie. However, months later, the Oscar-nominated Hulk actor said that while he originally had a role in the film, he was ultimately cut off for the character to go on to do better things.

Later on, it was revealed that Ruffalo's next appearance in the MCU would be on the third Thor film, set for a late 2017 release date, joining Chris Hemsworth, another no-show in Civil War.

Seeing as Mackie has already seen the film (and has praised it as the best MCU movie so far), the actor is either teasing or just dropped a major spoiler that Disney had managed to keep a secret for a whole year.

In any case, Captain America: Civil War finally reaches theaters on May 6.
