'Bajrangi Bhaijaan' Actor Salman Khan Confirms His New Film With Sooraj Barjatya [WATCH]

Bajrangi Bhaijaan star Salman Khan, whose last film Prem Ratan Dhan Payo fared excellent collection at the box office, has confirmed that he will be collaborating with his Maine Pyaar Kiya director Sooraj Barjatya once again for an untitled movie.

Khan reunited with Barjatya after almost a decade and a half for Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. He confirmed that he will soon be starring in Barjatya's film. The Hum Aapke Hain Koun director also responded positively to the news, saying that he will be making another movie with Khan in the lead. During the recent Zee Cine Awards event, Barjatya was quoted by DNA India as responding:

"I am working on the subject of my next film and I will make it with Salman for sure."

Khan further stated that he owed his presence in the industry to Barjatya. He also mentioned that until the time the latter wants to make movies with him, he would feel honored.

"He is like a brother to me and whatever I am today is because of him. He had made Maine Pyaar Kiya. So till the time he wants to work with me, I would love to do films with him," Khan further added.

Khan and Barjatya last worked together in 1999 family drama, Hum Saath-Saath Hain. It was earlier reported, by Mstars News that there were speculations in Indian media that Barjatya is planning to make an action film with Khan in the lead.

However, Barjatya refuted all the rumors and said that in Indian Film industry, he is known for his brand of family sagas and that there are so many stories untold in a family setup that needs to be told. Since he is not comfortable with the action genre, he will make a family drama again. He also laughed off all rumors of directing an action film. The director was quoted by Catch News as responding:

"I have always been interested to make family films because I think there are a lot of stories which are left to be said in a family drama. I am not just talking about joint families, but there are so many stories about nuclear families as well, so I would like to stick to the genre of making family dramas."

Khan, who is currently shooting for his sports drama Sultan, where he plays a wrestler. The film is slated to release around festive season in 2016.
