'Teen Mom 2' Leah Messer, Corey Simms Custody Battle Update: Are MTV Stars Getting Along?
Teen Mom 2 star Leah Messer has been really happy about getting shared custody of her daughters from ex-husband Corey Simms after losing them a few months before. Now, it looks like the co-parenting between the former MTV couple is going well even though Leah will have to relive the agony of losing her girls once the new season of the hit reality series starts.
According to Radar Online, the new custody arrangement "is working out just fine," and "everything is running smoothly" between Leah and Corey. A source also told the gossip site that the reality dad gets the twins from Monday after school till Thursday morning, while the West Virginia mom picks them up Thursday after school and has them till Monday morning.
"Both Leah and Corey are very happy with the new schedule," the source said. "They are on great terms."
When season 7 of Teen Mom 2 premieres on March 21, fans will see how the custody battle played out to when Leah lost guardianship of Ali and Aleeah. You can watch some scenes in the new trailer here:
As MStars News reported, the reason the reality mom lost custody in the first place was because the judge in her case ruled she bringing her kids to school late. However, Leah reportedly accused Corey and his wife Miranda Simms of getting the girls' teachers to fabricate their tardy records.
"Leah had all kinds of proof to shut them down," a source previously told Radar Online. "They admitted the records were inaccurate."
"Leah is convinced Corey and Miranda persuaded a school employee to mark them tardy," the source continued. "She has a good chance of bringing this to the court. She really could get her daughters back."
Do you think Leah and Corey will stay on good terms after their nasty custody fight?
