Tom Cruise, Aliens [VIDEO] 'Oblivion' Star Relates to Character at Moscow Premiere, Talks Space Travel and Meeting Extraterrestrials
Tom Cruise wants to travel in space and meet aliens. "Who wouldn't want to do something like that?" the Hollywood superstar said of space exploration at the Moscow premiere of his latest film Oblivion. The film centers around Cruise as one of the last men on Earth, exploring the wreckage of an alien battle that all but destroyed the planet.

This Science Fiction film also stars Morgan Freeman, Olga Kurylenko, Andrea Riseborough and Nikolaj Coster-Waldau (Jaime Lannister on "Game of Thrones").
When asked about the possibility of other whether humans are alone in the universe or not, Cruise responded:
"I don't think you can actually count it out. It might be a little arrogant to think we were the only ones in all the galaxies throughout the universe - but I've never met one!"
These days, though, it is possible for a wealthy actor like the 50-year-old Cruise to get into space. Virgin Galactic is hoping to start commercial space flights this year and with a price tag of $200,000 per ticket, the rich and famous seem to be lining up already. The "brainchild" of English billionaire Richard Branson, Virgin Galactic flights would last 2 hours with tourists experiencing weightlessness for 6 minutes. Virgin Galactic is hoping to organize longer trips as well. Though Tom is definitely interested in the idea, he will let others go before him.
"I'm going to let a couple of other people test it out first but it would be great," he says. "I was always hoping when I was a kid that we would be traveling to different planets by now."
Tom Cruise is a well-known Scientologist, so his views on space travel and meetings aliens come as no surprise.
