Jada Pinkett Smith Open Marriage: Actress Responds to Rumors of Open Relationship with Husband Will Smith, Discusses Married Life to 'Men in Black' Star
In Hollywood marriage years, Jada Pinkett Smith and Will Smith have been married for an eternity. The couple have been married 16 years, which is almost unheard of in Hollywood now-a-days. That isn't to say their marriage has gone through its ups and downs, especially when their were rumors floating around that Jada cheated on Will with her "Hawthorne" co-star Marc Anthony and the couple were separating. Rumors the couple ended up denying. However, through all that they have remained a Hollywood "It" couple for over a decade. The latest news surrounding the movie stars are rumors that they have used an open marriage to help stay together this long. Rumors that Jada just recently discussed.
Jada told HuffPost Live that they don't have an open marriage. "No, I think that people get that idea because Will and I are very relaxed with one another," Jada told HuffPost Live. "But I've always told Will: You can do whatever you want as long as you can look at yourself in the mirror and be OK." Jada laughed at the question initially, but it sounds like those rumors may just have to be put to bed finally.
Jada went on to explain that her marriage with Will isn't easy, just like anyone else's marriage. "I don't think it's easy to be married to anyone. I think that you have to go into a relationship knowing - especially when you're dedicating yourself to someone for the rest of your life - this is a life partnership," Jada said. "He's my best friend. He's been by my side through some of the most difficult parts of my life. And so that's something you can never take away."
Jada and Will have two kids together, 14-year-old Jaden and 12-year-old Willow, who both have had a taste of celebrity success with their own music and film projects. The celebrity family continues to defy the odds by staying together while also performing in the spotlight. Click here to watch Jada's interview with HuffPost Live.
