'Avatar 2' Movie: James Cameron Wants Underwater Sequences?
A lot has been said and speculated about the upcoming movie Avatar 2 and while the film is still in the early stages of its production, film director James Cameron recently confirmed that the Na'vi fans can expect a lot of underwater sequences in the upcoming sequel to 2009 epic sci-fi film Avatar.
Fans of Avatar have waited for a long time to watch the sequel to the epic science fiction film but the delay in the project was because Cameron is preparing a special graphic technology that would allow him to create an entirely new world within the ocean of Pandora.
It was reported by Master Herald that the Titanic director Cameron is still circling around the various ideas that should be implemented in Avatar 2. It was also stated that Cameron was having long discussions with the CGI team of the film so that he can understand how he and other writers of the film would carry out the idea that he has on his mind for a long time.
In 2014, Cameron said during an interview with RTL, as reported by Coming Soon, that his team is busy writing the script for Avatar 2 and his CGI team is working hard to come up with software or an application that will help them to redesign new characters, creatures and places in the oceans of Pandora.
"You'll see new worlds, new habitats, new cultures. The primary conflict between the human view kind of dominating nature and the Na'vi view of being integrated into nature is the same, but it manifests itself in very different ways," Cameron added.
According to International Business Times, in an interview, Cameron stated that apart from working on the script and the CGI, they all are also working on graphics for the ocean ecosystem which will be similar to what fans have seen in Titanic.
Cinema Blend reported that Cameron is working on three Avatar movies at the same time and this was among the main reason for the delay in shooting Avatar 2. Apparently The Terminator director is trying to make the films in the Avatar franchise have parallel storylines.
Avatar fans may have to extend their patience for the Avatar 2 even further until Cameron gives the green light. If there are no more delays from the production then Avatar 2 is slated to hit the IMAX by Dec. 25, 2017.
