'Masters of Sex' Season 4 Lizzy Caplan Joins Brad Pitt in Robert Zemeckis' Spy Thriller
Masters of Sex star Lizzy Caplan has joined the cast of Robert Zemeckis' untitled spy thriller film with Brad Pitt and Marion Cotillard from a script penned by Eastern Promises' screenwriter Steven Knight.
While the title of the story is not yet revealed by Zemeckis or by Paramount Pictures, it is being reported by The Hollywood Reporter that Knight's screenplay will is set in the backdrop of World War II. It will follow the story of spy (played by Pitt) who falls in love with a French agent (played by Cotillard) during a dangerous North African mission. In the upcoming spy-thriller film, Caplan will play the role of Pitt's sister.
According to Variety, Graham King and Zemeckis will produce the untitled spy thriller project alongside Knight, Jack Rapke, Patrick McCornmick, Denis O'Sullivan and Steve Starkey. The production of the film is likely to start during next week in Europe and the project may get a 2016 release date.
Meanwhile, Caplan has many projects for 2016. Caplan, who was most recently seen in The Night Before with Joseph Gordon-Levitt and Seth Rogen, is set to star in Now You See Me 2. The film will star Caplan along with Jesse Eisenberg, Mark Ruffalo, Jay Chou, Daniel Radcliffe, Dave Franco and Sanaa Lathan.
The film will also feature Morgan Freeman and Michael Caine, who also appeared in the first movie and will bring back a lot of magic tricks.
The film is slated to release on June 10, 2016. Along with that, her Showtime drama, Masters of Sex has been renewed for its fourth season. which will premiere this summer.
In other news, Caplan is currently dating English actor, Tom Riley, with whom she first appeared at the 2016 Prague Opera Ball on February 6, 2016. Riley, who served as a performer in the opera posted a picture of the duo with a caption that read:
"The Prague Opera was exciting but I expected more failed assassination attempts/ Tom Cruise on a zip line."
