Hrithik Roshan Finalised to Star in the Remake of Sylvester Stallone's 'Rambo'? [WATCH]
Speculations suggest that actor Hrithik Roshan will soon be seen in the Hindi remake of Sylvester Stallone's hit film, Rambo. The rights for the remake version were brought by Siddharth Anand.
Anand earlier directed the Bollywood version of Tom Cruise and Cameron Diaz's Knight and Day. If the new updates turns out to be true, then this would be Roshan's venture in which he will be seen in the Bollywood version of some Hollywood character. A source told Mid-Day, "The Hindi remake of Rambo will have Hrithik reprising Sylvester Stallone's classic character, but with a desi (Indian) twist. Siddharth bought the rights to the film a couple of years ago and is now all set to take it on floors."
As Anand has worked with Roshan in his last directorial venture, Bang Bang, sources claim that the actor was the first preference for the role. Besides, his physique and image of the Bollywood's Greek God are in sync with his role John Rambo in the film. Rambo is based on the novel First Blood written by David Morrell, and gives a hint of politics in the background. Here, Stallone has enacted the character of John Rambo, who is a former soldier of the US Army Special Forces.
Considering the requirement of a character that is skilled in weaponry, guerrilla warfare and much more, the 42-year-old actor will have to undergo a few preparatory lessons for the film. So far, there has been no official confirmation by the actor.
After completing Ashutosh Gowariker's film, Mohenjo Daro, Roshan will begin shooting for Sanjay Gupta's Kaabil. Featuring actress Yami Gautam as the female lead, Kaabil is a revenge drama. It was earlier reported by MStars News that, Kaabil will also stars the brother duo Ronit Roy and Rohit Roy in negative roles. The shooting of the film is likely to commence soon and it's slated for release on January 26, 2017.
