USA Network's 'Colony' S01E10 'Gateway' Josh Holloway, Sarah Wayne Callies Finale Recap
USA Network airs the first season finale of their sci-fi drama, Colony. In episode 10, are Will (Josh Holloway) and Katie Bowman (Sarah Wayne Callies) ready to figure out what lies behind Gateway?
Out in the streets, a group of homeless kids rob a stranger and steal his backpack. The kids manage to lose the military police. Back in Santa Monica, the kids want to trade the stranger's gun for breakfast.
Jennifer (Kathleen Rose Perkins) shows up at Will's place to tell him the VIP has been kidnapped. At headquarters, Helena (Ally Walker) has a brief window for the rescue of the VIP, or else the city is a wasteland. Elsewhere, Broussard (Tory Kittles)rides the getaway vehicle, carrying the VIP in the back. Analyzing the armor, Morgan (Thora Birch) thinks there is a way to block the VIP's signal and tracker.
Broussard and the others carry the VIP on their backs as they leave the subway tunnels. Will tells Madeline (Amanda Righetti) that he needs to get the kids away while he searches for Katie. After Will gets the emergency number from his teen son, he starts dialing but no one is picking up. Elsewhere, the drones have called in curfew in the middle of the day.
Madeline manages to get to safety, thanks to Mr. Burgess (Adrian Pasdar), but she loses Will's son in the chaos. Morgan provides the distraction while Broussard kills two military police officers.
Elsewhere, Proxy Snyder (Peter Jacobson) ends up speaking with his daughter, who is embarrassed by her. Knowing the lockdown will tear the city apart, Snyder has an escape pass for his daughter. Burgess reveals to Madeline he has to pick a side in the fiasco.
Jennifer knows it's Will's wife in the footage but doesn't squeal on him. The drones are destroying buildings in order to find their missing VIP. Morgan wonders if the destruction and lives lost is their fault.
Things are looking pretty bad for Snyder when he meets with Helena. Back at the hideout, the team is freaked out by the phone ringing. Katie picks up and pretends to be talking to her kid, while Will reveals what's going on. Will asks Jennifer to track down the number and reveals his wife is part of the rebellion.
As Jennifer and Will decode the number, Katie and the others debate whether or not they should cut open the armor. The team is unable to cut open the armor. After Jennifer gets the face and name of a cell member, she gives Will twenty minutes to rescue his wife.
Knowing he has very little authority left, Snyder tries to make a deal with Burgess. As the bombings continue, Morgan gets a tablet out of the armor. With the drones honing in, Katie breaks containment and gets the team to escape. Will enters the room, sees Katie and the VIP, and allows her to leave.
Jennifer and the red hats show up to retrieve the VIP. Snyder gives Willa transit pass to find his son. As Burgess celebrates his promotion with Madeline, Will's son and Snyder are held under arrest.
Will enters Santa Monica as Katie enters to an empty house. With cameras in the house, someone is watching her.
