Scandal Season 5 Episode 16-"The Miseducation of Susan Ross" Sneak Peek, Live Stream [WATCH]
Episode 16 of Scandal is only days away and the great debate is here. In "The Miseducation of Susan Ross", a candidate's political campaign may result to using sloppy tactics against opponents to bring them down. Olivia (Kerry Washington) gets her hands on some scandalous information that involves on of the candidates after the first republican debate ends. Liv always plays her cards right and looks out for the best interest of her clients- so its safe to say that things are moments away from hitting the fan.
Last episode, we saw things heat up. Mellie (Bellamy Young) took a public beating as her and Liv's plans to have her appeal to the public turns against them. Mellie gets caught in a lie about Gettysburger while the cameras were rolling, which made for a very embarrassing situation. While Mellie licks her wounds, Liv wants to use Alex's (Danny Pino) dirt on Susan, but it would hurt Edison (Norm Lewis). Liv decides to consult with her father Rowan (Joe Morton) and he tells her that she is trying to turn Mellie into something that she is not and needs to be careful not to do the same with herself.
Abby (Darby Stanchfield) lets it slip that David (Joshua Malina) has been complaining about juggling the women in his life to Susan Ross (Artemis Pebdani). This in turn throws Susan off and she is unable to concentrate on preparing for the upcoming debate. Susan confronts David about the cheating and he lies to her about it. Later on, David ends things with Elizabeth North (Portia de la Rossi), but it is too late because Susan breaks up with him after putting everything together and with the surprising help of President Grant (Tony Goldwyn).
All of Olivia's snooping of Jake (Scott Foley) has paid off as she discovers that he has been using his fiancée Vanessa's money to form a superpack for a candidate who turns out to be Edison. Liv tries to warn Edison that Rowan is secretly funding his campaign, which means down the line Edison would owe him. Unfortunately for Liv, it's a little too late.
In the teaser, for episode 16, the debate is finally here. The candidates have to deal with facing tough questions about their plans in their presidency. Liv enlists the Gladiators to verify if the damaging information she has discovered about an opponent is true. Throughout all the chaos, David now has to deal with the aftermath of his breakups and Cyrus is busy maneuvering his political agenda.
