Lana Del Ray's Unreleased Reggae-Pop Track "Party Girl" [LISTEN]
Most people know Lana Del Ray as "the girl who had a good song a few years ago and then turned in one of the worst performances ever on Saturday Night Live." Some people know her as "a singer that I love and listen to all the time." Almost no one knows her as "pop-reggae sensation" but it appears that that was almost the case. Some audio archeologists dug up this 5-second snippet of an Ace of Base-y track allegedly by Lana Del Ray called "Party Girl."
An ATRL forum user posted the snippet below with the simple description of "Lana goes Reggae" :
Best reaction: "This actually kinda knocks."
We at Mstarz have to agree that this purported pop-reggae snippet from some lost Lana Del Ray demo does, in fact, kind of knock.
Don't mind us, we'll just be spending the rest of the day with our copy of Happy Nation/ The Sign.
What do you think? Did Lana Del Ray miss her calling as the next Ace of Base? Should she release the full-track so the world can get their pop-reggae on like they did for Lady Gaga's "Eh, Eh"? (Bet you had forgotten.)
