The CW Network has renewed DC's Legends of Tomorrow for Season 2. In the upcoming sophomore season, will time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) end up meeting with Terry McGinnis aka Batman Beyond?

As we previously mentioned, the stakes have risen so high that heroes alone are not enough. Having seen the apocalyptic future, time-traveling rogue Rip Hunter (Arthur Darvill) is tasked with assembling a misfit group of heroes and villains to confront an unstoppable threat. To save time itself and the entire planet from destruction, can this ragtag team defeat the immortal Vandal Savage (Casper Crump)?

We also mentioned, CW head honcho Mark Pedowitz announced early renewals for 11 of its shows, including Arrow (for Season 5), The Flash (Season 3), The Vampire Diaries (Season 8), The Originals (Season 4), iZombie (Season 3), Legends of Tomorrow (Season 2), Supernatural (Season 12), The 100 (Season 4), Jane the Virgin (Season 3), Crazy Ex-Girlfriend (Season 2) and Reign (Season 3).

In the DC Comics Universe, in the future, the Dark Knight has officially retired due to old age and the fear of another massive heart attack. After his father discovered something crooked going on in at Wayne Enterprises,Terry revealed to Bruce that Powers has corrupted his own company. Traumatized by the death of his murdered father, Terry takes over the Batman mantle and becomes Bruce's protege.

In a video interview with IGN, as transcribed by Screen Crush, executive producer Marc Guggenheim reveals if Terry McGinnis could make an appearance, "I don't think so, only because of DC's plans for Batman ... Look, I love Terry, and I love that whole Batman Beyond conceit. "Star City 2046" was sort of our doffing of the cap to Batman Beyond in many, many ways, but you never know."

Guggenheim adds, "Well you know, [Supergirl and The Flash] is a good example. At the beginning, no one thought it was gonna be possible, no one thought it would happen, and lo and behold, it happened. I think as long as people are passionate and talking ... clearly, you see that the powers-that-be do hear these things. What matters to the fans matters to them, so keep tweeting!"

DC's Legends of Tomorrow continues Thursdays 8pm on the CW.
