5 Thoughts On Grant Gustin, Melissa Benoist Supergirl/The Flash Crossover Episode On CBS!
The CW Network and CBS brought together two DC Comics legends in The Flash and Supergirl crossover. This is the prefect opportunity to check out Barry Allen (Grant Gustin) and Kara Danvers (Melissa Benoist) in the episode 18, "World's Finest."
In our recent recap, Silver Banshee (Italia Ricci) unleashes her sonic powers at Kara and threw her out the window. Tearing through a portal, The Flash caught Kara, but quickly realized she didn't need saving. Asking for her help to return home, the scarlet speedster worked with Supergirl to take down Silver Banshee and Livewire (Brit Morgan) after they had kidnapped Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart). After the two superheroes worked together, Supergirl kept her promise and sent the scarlet speedster back home. But could have The Flash stayed longer to help Supergirl with her impending alien invasion?

5) They Didn't Fight Each Other!?!
When Stephen Amell made his crossover, the episode was called Arrow vs the Flash. Even Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Diggle (David Ramsey) were making bets on who would win the fight. What was refreshing to see is two superheroes actually getting along and working together quite well!
4) The Shows Connected!
Part 1 was actually Flash Back, when Barry time-travelled to the past to meet with the evil Harrison Wells (Tom Cavanagh). The speedster came back with a drive that contained information on the speed force. In Part 2, Supergirl meets The Flash, who didn't even realize he could run that fast. Because he has more info on the speed force, the speedster has a device strapped to his red suit.
3) They're So Adorable Together!
Kudos to Grant Gustin for not phoning it in during the crossover episode! The two Glee alums had instant chemistry when sharing a scene together! The funniest scene had to bring when Barry raced in and out to bring ice cream to Kara and her friends. This critic laughed when Benoist screamed, "Yes!"
2) Best One-Liners!
Twitter couldn't stop laughing when Cat Grant (Calista Flockhart) said, "All four of you standing there doing nothing. You look like the attractive yet non-threatening, racially diverse case of a CW show."
My other favorite line was when The Flash said, "Hey Sparky! Shrieky! Hi. What do you say we step away from the nice lady and settle this like women...what? There's more of you guys here than me."
1) The Race!
I definitely had the feels when Supergirl said to The Flash, "I'm gonna miss you, Barry Allen." The race at the end wasn't to see who's the fastest, but to help him get back home. Can we see these two together again?
Supergirl continues Mondys 8pm on CBS. The Flash airs Tuesdays 8pm on the CW.
