Nick Carter on Lauren Kitt: ‘She is Going to be the Perfect Mother’ to Their Son, Odin Reign

Nick Carter and his wife, Lauren Kitt are now parents! But before the two welcomed their son, Odin Reign Carter on Tuesday, April 19, Carter told People that his wife "is going to be the perfect mother" to their newborn son.

The Backstreet Boys singer, and first-time father said: "That's the No. 1 reason why I wanted to be with her for the rest of my life, because I know she is going to be the perfect mother. She is going to be the perfect person to help me, because I don't know everything, but I know her intelligence, her just heart, her love and her compassion. These are things that my child is going to need."

In the snapshot below, Kitt patiently waited on her son to come out into the world and revealed that she would have a natural birth.

Baby Odin finally made his debut after putting his mother through 30 hours of labor pains. Kitt decided to have a "at home water birth." The Carters' son weighed 8 lbs., 11 oz.

Throughout her pregnancy, Carter was right by his wife's side. "I'm taking a couple of well-needed months off to be with my wife and really cater to her in this time."

Kitt added that her husband would help out by shaving her legs. "It might be TMI, but he helps me shave my legs," Kitt continued, "It's not sexy, but how sweet is that? I can't reach, but he will shave my legs for me."

The couple had an over the top baby shower. The theme was Game of Thrones held at their Hidden Hills, California, home back on Saturday, April 2.

Kitt decided to have the show as her baby shower theme because the couple really "love that show." The guests even enjoyed Dragon Egg Pops!
