Fan Catches Foul Ball in Beer Cup [VIDEO]: Chugs Rest of Beverage at Seattle Mariners vs Houston Astros Baseball Game

During the eighth inning of Wednesday's Astros versus Mariners game, Seattle player Justin Smoak popped a fly foul ball into the stands. Luckily a fan managed to catch it with his full beer cup. Naturally, the nonchalant fan then chugged the rest of the beverage the best he can (the plastic cup was split) and then fished out the ball to show his friends.

As you can see from the video provided below, the camera was busy trying to stay on the play. So when the ball goes foul, we just see the pitcher walk back to the mound until, after a short pause, the crowd goes wild. That is, of course, in response to the ball-in-beer-cup catch. It definitely deserved as much applause as the stadium could give.

We all know that every alcoholic beverage (or maybe just all drinks in general) cost an arm and a leg at sporting events. So why does this man throw his money away in order to catch this ball? Because this is the United States of America. He knows exactly what will come of this moment and it is literally happening right now. People will write blogs about it (ahem), create GIFs, and eventually he will become a viral sensation.

I guess the next thing to come is someone topping this feat. Seriously though, he caught a foul ball with his beer cup then chugged the beer. How will anybody top that?

This is just so funny. Here are two GIFs of the incredible moment, followed by the video footage:
