Adrienne Bailon Sets Record Straight on Boyfriend, Israel Houghton: "This Man is Not Married"

Finally! Adrienne Bailon is clearing the air and setting the record straight about her new boyfriend gospel singer, Israel Houghton. MStars News has learned that the TV host decided to give her fans and the rest of the world some clarity on her new relationship, after infamous gossips sites dragged her in the mud for dating Houghton following his divorce. Keeping it real on The Real, Bailon made it clear that her "man is not married."

"Yes, I am dating. His name is Israel Houghton," she confessed, before explaining her entire relationship. "As some of you guys may know. And I think, I'm more than anything so grateful that I have a platform like this where I can be with my girls. The show is called The Real. It is a place to speak about the truth and honesty and be real about things. So with that being said, this man pictured here is not married. Praise God!"

MStars News previously reported that Bailon was the trending topic of discussion last week after she went on a break to Mexico with Houghton. Photos surfaced of the lovebirds getting cozy on vacation. Many people believed that Bailon was the cause of the singer's divorce.

Earlier this year, Houghton announced that he was getting a divorce from his wife of 20 years, Meleasa Houghton. Houghton revealed that he had been unfaithful years ago and that the effects weighed heavy on his marriage. Many believed that Houghton was cheating on his wife with Bailon. But if you ask her, that's not the truth.

"First things first, first things first... I think it's important to clarify things because people can put up headlines and you run away with that and no-one actually reads sometimes the articles or uh somehow they miss big public announcements," Bailon continued.

"So, with that being said, he had actually put out a statement. He uh... He is single, number one. And I think the other thing that people were saying was that I was the cause of his divorce. Which I think any divorce is obviously a sad thing people have to go through. It takes time to get through that sort of thing. And I think no-one put that time together. I think you see an announcement made you know, at the top of this year and then you see these photos and you say to yourself, "Well let's put this together." But this is why I'm grateful for moments like this because it allows you to set the facts straight. And God forbid the facts get in the way of a really good juicy story," she explained. "I'm going to say the truth and the truth of the matter is that isn't the case. He obviously is divorced. He had put out a statement saying that um he had failed in his marriage and it was about five years back. I didn't know him at that time, so to put that blame on me was obviously hurtful."

Bailon was formerly engaged to Lenny Santiago. During the time of her engagement, Houghton had congratulated the couple. That spread like wildfire and started more drama for the couple's new relationship.

Bailon also cleared that situation up and revealed that her ex-fiance reached out to her to make sure she was ok after the blogs dragged her name. "He was not besties with Lenny," she declared.
