'Blood, Sweat & Heels' Star, Daisy Lewellyn Dead at 36 From Rare Cancer: Family by Her Side
MStars News is sadden to learn that Blood, Sweat and Heels star, Daisy Lewellyn died Friday at the age of 36 from a rare cancer. According to NBC News, the reality star's family and friends were by her side during the last moments.
A Bravo spokesperson confirmed Lewellyn's death through a statement that read: "We are devastated to learn that Daisy Lewellyn from Bravo's Blood, Sweat & Heels has passed away this morning after a battle with a rare form of Cancer. Daisy passed on in peace and filled with joy, surrounded by her family and friends," the statement said. "We are all saddened to lose this wonderful woman. Our thoughts and deepest sympathy are expressed."
Lewellyn was apart of the fashion industry for over 15 years. Before making her debut on Blood, Sweat and Heels, she worked with InStyle, Glamour, and Essence magazines. Lewellyn's cancer battle started back in 2014 when she was diagnosed with a cancerous tumor in her bile duct.
Lewellyn shared her battle during the Bravo reality show. Her treatments included getting the tumor removed, chemotherapy and radiation treatments.
"I have cancer - cancer doesn't have me. Every day comes with its challenges, but that doesn't stop me from celebrating what I have in my life," the fashion diva once said. "I wanted to turn this tragedy into triumph by sharing my story in hopes that even one person could feel inspired."
Burlington Style said that they were sad to hear of Lewellyn's death in the Instagram dedication post below. "We are very sad to learn of the passing of our friend @daisylewellyn. Our thoughts are with her family and friends during this difficult time," the major fashion store wrote.
