'Arrow' Season 4 SPOILERS: Is Oliver Queen, Felicity Smoak Olicity Relationship "Broken?"
The CW Network continues Season 4 of Arrow. After the Black Canary's shocking twist, are Oliver Queen aka The Green Arrow (Stephen Amell) and Felicity Smoak (Emily Bett Rickards) too "broken" to get back their relationship back together as Olicity?
In our previous recap, after seeing his boss in trouble, Curtis (Echo Kellum) joined Oliver in helping rescuing Felicity from the Bug-Eyed Bandit (Emily Kinney). Even after being scolded by the Green Arrow, Curtis refused to back down and helped the team fight off their opponent. As Damien plans his escape from custody, Malcolm (John Barrowman) sends a message out to Diggle's brother, Andy.
In our recent recap, Diggle and the Green Arrow were betrayed by Andy as Damien Dhark (Neal McDonough) set up the prison riot. Using his mystery powers, Damien forced the Green Arrow to watch as he stabbed Laurel Lance aka Black Canary (Katie Cassidy) to death. Laurel proclaimed her love for Oliver before she passed away, leaving her father, Captain Lance (Paul Blackthorne) truly alone.
In an interview with TV Line, executive producer Marc Guggenheim reveals how Felicity is handling herself after the breakup of her engagement with Oliver, "She's broken up with Oliver and she's also broken up with the team essentially. And in Episode 19 [airing next Wednesday, April 20], we'll see the undoing of one of those decisions."
In the flash forwards, we know Felicity demands Oliver to go out and kill Damien Dhark. But as they grieve, together will their broken hearts be mended?
Guggenheim mentions if Laurel's death will force the two to get back together, "We never had to kill Laurel to make Oliver and Felicity a couple. That is really independent from the romantic history that Oliver and Laurel had, and a completely different set of dynamics.'"
